Face of Business Main Points of Difference

Cost: Our service is designed to offer our clients everything they would possibly need to create a professional, well laid out listing on our directory. Many similar directories charge around $300 for a “premium listing” which in actual fact, offers less for their money than we offer for a much lower price of $59.80 per year. Wait a minute, I saw a free directory online? In all fairness, yes, there are a handful of free directories out there. It is for yourself to work out why they are actually free? How do they cover their basic costs? A business directory is not viable to have as a free service in the long run. Many directories offering this package for free end up enticing customers into upgrading to higher packages labelled primarily as gold, premium etc. Advertising will also fill the page, putting off potential clients for you. By all means, create the free listing with said directory, however we would like to encourage you to also list with us.

Personalisation: When was the last time you visited a business and wondered who was behind the business or service? In all fairness, probably never. However, subconsciously, seeing the face behind the business on our directory allows the client to see it is run by a real person with a real life. This is exactly the reason we are called Face of Business, because we want to get behind the “Face of the Business” and see for ourselves who we are giving our custom to. We also currently have a slideshow on view streaming through all the photos of clear face or team shots, this is previewed on our home page. This allows the viewer to click on your photo to see what you offer. Yes, we understand there may be a few camera-shy people out there, and broadcasting your face for the whole world to potentially see may be daunting for you. This is not crucial, however preferred. If you are more comfortable with others in the photo and a team shot photo would better suit you, go for gold.

Easy to List: Business officials, we understand have extremely busy lives. Self-listing with us is super easy and literally takes about 10 minutes of your life away, which considering there 1,440 minutes in a day, it doesn’t seem like much eh!? Alternatively if you would prefer, there are a couple of other ways you can list with us. Simply send through an email to bevan@faceofbusiness.co.nz with a narrative about your business, along with some photos, and we’ll produce your listing for no extra charge to yourself. One other option, which is probably the most popular, is to give us permission to view and use the content we see potential in. Editing your listing is far easier if you create it yourself as there is an edit listing button which you can change anything you like! However in saying that, we have a little edit listing button too and can change anything requested by email as soon as we see it!

Free Event Listing: Free? You don’t get anything for free these days? Oh yes, with Face of Business you do 😊 Anyone can create a new event around them, e.g. a function on at a restaurant you own or work at. We don’t understand how other directories can morally charge for this service as more often than not it is a one-off event. This is a service we offer at no extra charge that anyone, not just clients, but anyone can add to. This is setup to allow room for more viewers to view our directory to see what in actual fact is happening around them, while they are at it, we hope it entices them to see the businesses around them as well.

Facebook: This is probably the main point of difference I would really like to point out. What we are doing with Facebook is we are sharing our clients to our growing fan base on our business page. We are aiming to grow as many followers as possible. How we are doing this is currently purchasing a giveaway prize ourselves (we are using our clients for this as much as we can), however, we are also hoping to get some of our clients on board with a giveaway by sponsoring a prize. By doing this, we are “boosting” the viewers on the giveaway for a fee charged by Facebook, streaming your generosity to upwards of 10,000 locals per week.

New Zealand and Worldwide: Our directory clientele is primarily in Christchurch, New Zealand currently, as that is where we are based. It is easier to get a client base from a city you are based in. We are not currently big enough as of yet, to employ a sales team around the world, but this is in the plan for the not to distant future. What better time to join with us whilst we are expanding the business everyday.
