For more than a decade, Tongue and Groove has consistently been considered one of the premier live bands for hire in Auckland performing for celebrity occasions, company events, wedding receptions and private parties New Zealand wide.
With Zara’s stunning soul-style vocals (Zara was the award winning singer in Deep Obsession) and Bruce on sax and Stewart on keys, Tongue and Groove perform a wide range of songs to satisfy all age groups, and play only well known songs that everyone loves ranging across 5 decades. Tongue and Groove are very experienced in choosing the music that will work best to achieve a full dance floor and are very adept at reading the audience mood and creating the right cover music mix for their enjoyment. The 3 piece option is recommended for weddings, or if you have a lighter budget for your company event.
“Thank you for a great evening on Saturday. ‘Tongue & Groove’ made the party a huge success with dancing from start to finish. I am not from Auckland originally and didn’t have any idea where to start in seeking a band for my 50th (60s theme!) and you came recommended by a friend who is an Event Manager. I would definitely recommend ‘Tongue & Groove’ for brilliant sound, awesome song choice, and being all round great guys to work with.”

“Everybody that has been in touch with me loved the music! So well done to you and your fantastic band. Of course I already know that you’re the best”
Leslie Dawson, Fundraising Events Manager, Mercy Hospice , Auckland ( March 21st, 2014)
“Tongue & Groove had virtually all of the attendees up dancing and enjoying the music. The group was totally professional, started exactly on time and never missed a beat. They played for 2 and a half hours without a break and just made the event top shelf. Our attendees all told us how much they enjoyed it and both old and young raved about how much fun it was”
